Chi lo ha detto che i cunputer non occupano + stanze enormi con enegli anni 60???

Ecco quì il + potente computer del mondo...
Il Roadrunner by IBM!
7000 processori AMD Opteron dual core
13000 processori PowerCell 8i
104Tb di RAM
Calcola 1.7 petaflops (di picco)
Consuma 4MegaWatt
Il tutto montato in 300 Rack su una superficie di 1100 metri quadrati
Gira con SO Red Hat Enterprise Linux

è curioso vedere come il + potente computer del mondo monti processori AMD e Sony (derivati direttamente dalla PS3) invece che Intel e che coem SO non abbia winzoz o OSX.

visto che serve per simulazioni complicatissi penso che potrebbe montare anche una riva tnt2 cone GPU da 32mb
